Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This policy explains how Add a Date Stamp, an independent Google Slides add-on, and this website handle information. The developer can be contacted at appwould.work@gmail.com.
1. Information the add-on accesses
Add a Date Stamp accesses the presentation in which you use it, including its identifier, pages, selected page, and the text, position, and style of date-stamp elements. This access is used to select target slides, insert or update date stamps, and restore the previous stamp state when you choose Undo. The add-on does not request access to Gmail, contacts, or your entire Google Drive.
2. Google permissions and their purpose
presentations.currentonly: view and manage the current presentation so that Add a Date Stamp can insert, find, update, and undo timestamp elements on the pages you choose.script.container.ui: display and run the Add a Date Stamp sidebar within Google Slides.
Google handles authorization. This website does not ask for your Google password or receive OAuth access tokens.
3. What is stored and for how long
- Applied preferences: format, language, time zone, custom prefix, appearance, position, and slide-scope settings are stored per user in Google Apps Script User Properties. They remain until overwritten or deleted; uninstalling or revoking access does not by itself guarantee their deletion.
- Temporary undo data: the presentation and element identifiers and previous stamp text, geometry, and styling are stored in Google Apps Script user cache with a 600-second expiration setting. Cache entries can be evicted earlier and are removed after a successful undo. This is not a backup of your presentation.
- Time-zone preference cookie: the add-on sidebar attempts to remember your chosen time zone for up to one year. Your browser may block this cookie. Clear the sidebar’s site data in your browser to remove it.
- Inserted stamps: stamps remain in your presentation until you edit or delete them, and follow your Google account’s document retention settings.
4. How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide the stamp features you request, save preferences, support undo, answer support requests, and maintain security and reliability. The add-on runs on Google Apps Script and uses Google Slides services. It does not transmit presentation content to a separate developer-operated server. We do not sell personal information, use Google user data for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Google processes add-on data as the platform provider. The sidebar loads icon fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive network information such as your IP address and browser details. This website is hosted by Vercel, which may process IP addresses, request details, and technical logs to deliver and secure the website. The website itself does not set advertising cookies or include analytics trackers. Provider-managed logs and retention are governed by the relevant provider’s policies.
If you email us, your email address, message, and any attachments are handled through Gmail for support. Do not include confidential presentation content unless necessary. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve your request and maintain relevant support records; you can request deletion. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and security.
5. Google API Limited Use
Add a Date Stamp’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features described here. We do not permit human access to this data except with your affirmative agreement for specific support purposes, as necessary for security, as required by law, or as otherwise permitted by those policies.
6. Your choices, access, and deletion
You can change saved preferences by applying new settings, remove stamps directly from your slides, clear the time-zone cookie through your browser, uninstall the add-on, and revoke its access at Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access but does not remove stamps already in a presentation.
For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning saved add-on preferences or support correspondence, email appwould.work@gmail.com. We will explain the available deletion steps and help you remove information within our control. We may need to verify your request; never send passwords or access tokens. Depending on your location, additional data protection rights may apply.
7. Security and international processing
We limit requested permissions to those used by the add-on. Google and Vercel provide the underlying hosting and platform security. Information may be processed in countries where these providers operate. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Children
Add a Date Stamp is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through support. Contact us if you believe a child has provided such information.
9. Changes and contact
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes to data practices will be disclosed before they apply where required, and additional consent will be requested when necessary. For all privacy questions, contact the Add a Date Stamp developer at appwould.work@gmail.com.
